Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Prediction: Louisville Wins 31-17
Bobby Petrino’s Louisville Cardinals have proven how good they are over the course of the season, as they are only a few mistakes away from having a much better record. Meanwhile, the Kentucky Wildcats and Mark Stoops have proven how improved they are this year, but also how much of a bunch of frauds they were.
The Wildcats only beat South Carolina, but everybody else en route to their 5-1 record to start the season was bad. However, Patrick Towles is still a decent quarterback, and the defense isn’t bad, so there is still a decent future for this team.
But they are still going to miss out on a bowl game this year.
The in-state rival Cardinals will have their way with the Wildcats on Saturday even without Will Gardner. The skill weapons will be the difference, and on defense, it is going to be an ugly site.
The Cardinals will have no trouble up front, and Towles won’t be able to do anything against the dominant Louisville secondary. Gerod Holliman will pick up 2 more interceptions and break the record on Saturday, shutting down the Kentucky offense and setting up two touchdowns that end up being the difference.
The Cardinals move to 9-3 on the year and keep the Wildcats out of a bowl game.
