Saturday Blitz Vegas Pac 12 Prediction: USC Wins 38-31
We are going straight chalk on this pick and sticking with Vegas without any confidence whatsoever. Notre Dame had a potential Heisman candidate at quarterback in Everett Golson a few weeks ago, and USC appeared to be hitting their stride under Steve Sarkisian until that bump in the road last week to UCLA.
It’s hard to see where either of these teams stand. But despite consistent issues on defense, Notre Dame is simply too mistake-prone for us to believe in them right now. So we are going with the Trojans to pull off the win at home thanks to two touchdowns from Cody Kessler, two touchdowns from Javorius Allen, a defensive touchdown, and another turnover that sets up a field goal.
This will be a shootout and fun to watch, but the Trojans will walk away with the victory with the home crowd behind them on Saturday. USC will move to 8-4 on the year and have a strong case to be in the Top 25.
And given that this is Sarkisian’s first year at the helm, it could have been worse. Going 8-4 is a solid building block.
