11. Missouri Tigers, 10-2 (7-1)

Last Game: Defeated Arkansas Razorbacks 21-14

Next Game: Alabama Crimson Tide in SEC Championship

Why are the Missouri Tigers getting no respect? Okay, so the loss to Indiana was a bad loss, and they got blown out by Georgia. But these guys are 10-2 and have won the SEC East for the second year in a row, so we aren’t to set on holding them down too much. And the computers agree with us.

The Tigers have a strength of schedule at No. 53, just ahead of Mississippi State. The only reason the Bulldogs are ahead of them is because of the lack of quality victories for the Tigers, with Texas A&M being their best win, and the bad loss to Indiana. That is holding them back significantly, even though they could easily be in the College Football Playoff race right now. We all know that was a fluke loss. And coming up is a great chance for them to improve their resume.

Alabama this weekend would obviously count as a huge quality win if they could pull it off, and it would vault them ahead of at least five teams in our ranking to No. 5 or No. 6. And who knows? With a few upsets, some College Football Playoff talk for this team could begin.
