9. Ole Miss Rebels, 9-3 (5-3)

Last Game: Defeated Mississippi State Bulldogs 31-17

Next Game: Bowl Game

It might be very controversial to put a 3-loss team in the Top 10 over plenty of 2-loss teams, and the screams of SEC Bias will probably fill the ears of everybody from California to New York. But it doesn’t matter. Ole Miss’s body of work puts them ahead of plenty of 2-loss teams starting with schedule strength.

They have the No. 2 ranked strength of schedule, which is amazing, and the Rebels now have quality wins against Alabama, Mississippi State, and, wait for it, Boise State. That’s right Boise State is now a quality win which is huge at this point. Add in the fact that Memphis, another team they beat, is a 9-3 conference champion and that Texas A&M is still a win, and we can’t ignore the impressive wins on this team’s resume. By the way, Arkansas, LSU, and Auburn aren’t bad losses either.
