Last Game: Defeated Penn State Nittany Lions 34-10

Next Game: Bowl Game

The Michigan State Spartans are 10-2 and have proven all year under Mark Dantonio that they are a legitimate powerhouse football team. These guys still could probably compete with anybody, and their resume at least shows that they belong in the Top 10.

The Spartans have a Top 50 strength of schedule and might have had the two best losses in all of college football in Oregon and Ohio State. The combination of those things, along with wins over good teams such as Nebraska, Maryland, Rutgers, and now Penn State are enough to keep this team just in the Top 10. Their schedule strength is so far below Ole Miss’s that it barely kept them above the Rebels, but it was just good enough to say that they can make a case to be ahead with a better record. However, it was not by much.
