24. Utah Utes, 8-4 (5-4)

Last Game: Defeated Colorado Buffaloes 38-34

Next Game: Bowl Game

The Utah Utes lost a lot of respect from quite a few analysts over the weekend due to the fact that they had trouble beating the Colorado Buffaloes, the worst team in the Pac-12. As we stated in the opening, though, that means absolutely nothing to us, nor will it ever. Margin of victory is stupid.

The Utes are still 8-4 with a strength of schedule in the Top 40, which a lot of Pac-12 teams don’t have, so at 8-4 they clearly belong in the Top 25. That 8-4 record also includes wins against UCLA, USC, and Stanford, and Fresno State isn’t a terrible win. Their loss to Washington State isn’t a great loss, but the losses to Arizona, Arizona State, and Oregon are nothing to be ashamed. Overall, Utah had a great turnaround this year and has proven that it can compete in the Pac-12 with its physical style of football.
