19. LSU Tigers, 8-4 (4-4)

Last Game: Defeated Texas A&M Aggies 23-17

Next Game: Bowl Game

The LSU Tigers are one of the biggest victims of the SEC West constantly beating up on each other. They easily could have been 10-2, 11-1, or 12-0 in any other conference or any other division. But they were stuck in the SEC West, and as a result, they were stuck in that bloodbath.

Still, the Tigers have a resume that stands over many 3-loss and 2-loss teams, and we are very conscious of that. So at 8-4, the numbers show they clearly belong in the Top 20. This team has a Top 10 strength of schedule, and it has quality wins against Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin. Its losses were Mississippi State, Alabama, Auburn, and Arkansas on the road. None of those are bad losses, and those wins are quality wins, so LSU belongs here. And try and sell Oklahoma, Nebraska, Arizona State, or Boise State being above them with that resume.
