Central Michigan Chippewas vs. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
Line: Western Kentucky by 4
Saturday Blitz Vegas Bowl Prediction: Western Kentucky Wins 38-31
The problem with this game is that you don’t know which Central Michigan team is going to show up. Is it the team that beat Purdue, Ohio, and Northern Illinois? Or will it be the team that lost to Syracuse 40-3, Kansas 24-10, and Ball State 32-29? Either way, we know which Western Kentucky team will show up.
The Hilltoppers will come in expecting to put up 40 points through the air and only give up 35 points. And Brandon Doughty will be able to do enough for this team to get past the Chippewas in a 38-31 thrilling shootout. Expect 4 touchdown passes from Doughty and 450 yards passing. But at the same time, that bad Western Kentucky defense will keep Central Michigan in the game.
The Chippewas will have quite a few points, especially if the good Central Michigan team shows up. But we still trust Western Kentucky to put up points consistently throughout the game that, assuming Central Michigan does play well, it won’t be enough.
The Hilltoppers will come out on top of the hill in the Bahamas.
