South Alabama Jaguars vs. Bowling Green Falcons

Line: South Alabama by 2.5

Saturday Blitz Vegas Bowl Prediction: Bowling Green Wins 28-27

Being a virtual home game for South Alabama and with the lack of respect that the MAC or the Bowling Green defense deserves, it’s very understandable to pick the Jaguars to pull off this win.

But as bad as Bowling Green’s defense is, South Alabama’s offense is pretty pathetic on its own. And honestly, while defense wins championships, the better offense will win this game. The Jaguars bring absolutely nothing to the table to hint that they will be able to take advantage of Bowling Green’s bad defense.

And let’s call it what it is. South Alabama would likely miss out on a bowl gamer if Georgia Southern or Appalachian State could have been bowl eligible. As bad as the MAC is, the Sun Belt still gets to continue its reign as the worst conference in college football.

And Bowling Green has just enough to beat South Alabama in a very close game, even in Montgomery. The Falcons pull out the victory.
