Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Virginia Tech Hokies

Line: Cincinnati by 3

Saturday Blitz Vegas Bowl Prediction: Virginia Tech Wins 33-28

The most inconsistent team in college football history just might be this year’s Virginia Tech Hokies. The minute you start to give them any respect, they lay an egg, which this year included losing to the worst team in the ACC in Wake Forest. But they still managed to beat Ohio State at the beginning of the year.

Going into this game, the Hokies are getting no respect. Therefore, they’re going to shock the world and win this game. Cincinnati doesn’t really have an impressive win on its resume, but it has quite a few thrilling victories against Houston, Temple, East Carolina, and Miami (Ohio). These guys haven’t lost since mid-October, but the blowout losses to Miami (Fla.) and Memphis are not good looks for this 9-3 team.

Gunner Kiel and this offense will move the ball against the Hokies, but this will be one of those games where Michael Brewer comes through and plays very well. At the same time, there will be some great special teams plays in classic Virginia Tech fashion.

The combination will lead to an ugly Hokies victory as this ridiculously inconsistent team at least finishes the year with a winning record.
