Wow, this is exciting!!! For the first time in about 15 years, bowl games on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are set to matter again.
And they said the College Football Playoff would dilute the bowl games! Not here.
With the Peach Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl, and the Orange Bowl on New Year’s Eve as the only games that day followed by the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Day and then the two College Football Playoff games, the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl, we are in for an epic ride on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 that will be unmatched even by any pre-BCS days of college football.
The existence of the two non-New Year’s Six Bowl Games on New Year’s Day, the Outback Bowl and the Citrus Bowl, are still two games featuring ranked teams against each other, so it only adds to the excitement.
