Saturday Blitz Vegas Bowl Prediction: Michigan State Wins 37-17
The Baylor Bears and Art Briles flat-out embarrassed themselves by launching a campaign before the season ended to position themselves to be in the College Football Playoff. In fact, everything they did this year was to do that, starting with an easy out of conference schedule. Unlike TCU, they cried and cried about being left out ignoring the pathetic schedule, part of which they CHOSE to play. Now, they’re paying for it.
And as the Bears continue to harp with their pathetic sense of entitlement on not getting into the playoff, they will forget about having to prove themselves against Michigan State, in turn proving the Selection Committee right.
Baylor is in for a rude awakening.
The Bears are going to be dominated by the Spartans from start to finish as Mark Dantonio’s team plays efficient, the way it always does with Connor Cook at quarterback, physical, which is a staple, an tough on defense, particularly in the secondary. Bryce Petty’s ability to put up points so easily is mostly put on display at home. He isn’t at home here. And it will show.
The Bears will get exposed for having a weak defense, they’ll get exposed for not being physical, and they’ll get exposed as a group of frauds who are more about public relations than winning.
A Michigan State program all about winning will simply knock them in the mouths for a comfortable victory. The Spartans dominate.
