Oregon Ducks Players Turn Florida State Seminoles Chant to “No Means No” in Rose Bowl Victory

This might have been a little classless.

As you can see, a group of Oregon Ducks players turned the Tomahawk Chop into “No Means No” after they blew out the Florida State Seminoles 59-20 in the Rose Bowl, the first College Football Playoff Semifinal game in history.

Obviously, the chant was directed as a joke at Jameis Winston for his sexual assault charge.

It was a perfect way to add insult to injury after dominating the Seminoles the entire game.

However, it was incredibly insensitive. Regardless of what happened with Jameis Winston and the girl he was accused of sexually assaulting, rape should never be a laughing matter.

If he is innocent, then that is something that is incredibly offensive. But if, Heaven-forbid, he truly is guilty, well, it’s not funny to joke about it after beating him.

Those Oregon players just pulled off an incredibly thrilling victory, but it still wasn’t worth doing that. People are victims of this traumatizing atrocity everyday, and it should never be something to joke about in front of all the cameras.

We raked Winston through the coals for his sexually explicit chant earlier in the year that got him suspended against Clemson, and rightfully so.

But if we are going to be consistent, then we need to do the same thing with these guys. The emotion of a win is great. But that chant is highly insensitive.
