So does this one.
Now, Ohio State is playing for the ever-coveted national championship. But what are their fans doing? They are focusing on their hatred of the SEC.
Instead of focusing on the glory for their team, Ohio State fans are focused on hating a conference that doesn’t even have a team in the national championship game.
Congratulations on not having an SEC team in there. For the first time in a decade, you must have made your point. I guess it doesn’t matter to you fans whether or not your team wins the national title.
No, all that matters is that the SEC not have a team in there, and when that happens one time in 10 years, you can use that as a way to prove the conference is terrible.
Well, you got your wish. No need to worry about the game. In fact, why are we even playing it?
Obviously, this is slightly sarcastic, but it’s pathetic enough when fans of an SEC team chant “SEC! SEC! SEC!” when their team wins a crappy bowl game. Now, fans of other conferences have to trash the SEC when their team has something bigger to worry about?
That’s even more pathetic.
But go ahead. Bask in the fact that the conference you hate more than the team you love is not represented in the national championship game.
It only proves what has been said for so many years: there is serious jealousy of the SEC.
This isn’t an article to defend the annoying way SEC fans show pride in their conference all the time. But focusing on them if you’re an Ohio State fan right now is pathetic. Then again, Ohio State is probably still dealing with the shock of finally beating an SEC team in a game that matters the way they did a week ago.
