Just like Smith, Grant has been an integral part of this Buckeyes team for the past two years. He’s amassed 116 tackles, 8 interceptions, and has broken up 19 passes in the last 28 games.
Also like Smith, Grant is a good but not great prospect. Although he tends to use his hands too often in coverage and struggled against Amari Cooper, he plays well in press coverage and has above average instincts. He is very polished but also doesn’t have a very high ceiling.
Game Prediction:
With Darren Carrington out, Grant will line up opposite of a multitude of talented and speedy receivers. I don’t expect him to pick off Marcus Mariota, but he will make his night a lout tougher. Expect a line of 5 tackles and one pass broken up.
Draft Prediction:
Late Day Two/Early Day Three
Next: Oregon OT Jake Fisher
