The Super Bowl is set. And while we are barely less than two weeks away from the greatest football game of the year, this is one that college football still has a lot riding on.

College football fans across the country like to follow how their favorite teams’ players succeed in the NFL. If you go to Knoxville, you’ll still see Peyton Manning followers all over the restaurants and stores. The same holds true with Charles Woodson and Tom Brady in Michigan.

And in Florida, they still support Tim Tebow having a spot in the NFL.

So it should come as no surprise that we would do a story on the Top 10 college football teams represented by players in the Super Bowl.

This Top 10 first takes into account number of players per team. Then, there are a few tiebreakers: the number of players on practice squads or injured reserve as opposed to on the rosters and the level of importance per player based on their contributions.

Taking all of this into account, we came down to 14 schools with at least three players in the Super Bowl. And 11 schools are on this list because No. 10 had to be a tie. Illinois, TCU, and USC are the three honorable mentions. TCU has three roster players, none of whom are important, Illinois has two roster players and one on injured reserve, and USC barely belonged on the list with three players but none on the roster.

By conference, the Big Ten has the most players with 27, followed by the Pac-12 then the SEC.

So with that context, here are the Top 10 (11) college football teams with the most players represented in the Super Bowl.
