Braxton Miller looks like he might be coming back to Ohio State. Tim May of The Columbus Dispatch hinted that with his tweet that Miller is enrolled this semester.

Jim Harbaugh has hired his son, Jay, as tight ends and assistant special teams coach at Michigan according to MGOBLUE.com, the school’s athletics site.

"“Jay gathered a wealth of experience the last three seasons coaching in the NFL and I am excited to have him join our coaching staff,” said Jim Harbaugh. “His passion for teaching the game is at the highest level and he will be an asset to our team. He did a phenomenal job in Baltimore and will do an excellent job mentoring our tight ends.”"

The father of Oregon Wide Receiver Darren Carrington Jr., who was suspended for the national title game after testing positive for marijuan, claims his son did not smoke marijuana, according to Comcast Sports Net.

"(Darren) Carrington Sr., a former NFL defensive back, said today during a phone interview that his son did not actually smoke marijuana. He merely was in a room with others who were, leading to him inhaling secondhand smoke and thus testing positive for having marijuana in his blood stream. Now he faces the prospects of missing several games next season, something his father hopes can be avoided."

"“It’s unfortunate that it was such a high price to pay for something like that,” Carrington Sr. said."

Police report show Kosta Karageorge, who was part of Ohio State’s football team, sent suicidal texts to his ex-girlfriend before he was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to ESPN.com.

"Wrestler and football scout team member Kosta Karageorge, who was 22, had been missing for several days when his body was found in a trash bin in Columbus not far from his campus-area apartment on Nov. 30. A handgun was found near his right hand. Investigators concluded that Karageorge and his girlfriend broke up around the time he went missing on Nov. 26."

Two ex-Vanderbilt players’ testimony at a rape trial involving other teammates, according to ESPN.com.

"Testimony during a rape trial of two ex-Vanderbilt football players Tuesday revealed that at least four of their teammates knew an unconscious female student was in distress but did not call for help. A former roommate of one of the players being tried testified that he awoke during the alleged attack but was too scared to do anything about it. Four former football players are charged with raping an unconscious coed. All have pleaded not guilty."

Alabama Linebacker Ryan Anderson and a female student at the university have been arrested for domestic violence involving property damage according to AL.com.

"According to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s arrest database, the rising junior and Sierra Patterson, 20, were arrested on misdemeanor third-degree domestic violence, criminal mischief. Bond was set at $500."

"According to a Tuscaloosa police news release, the alleged crimes involved property damage. Officers arrived to the 1300 block of 17th Ave. East at about 11:28 p.m. Monday. Witnesses indicated Anderson and Patterson got into an argument in the yard."

University of Memphis has disciplined 12 players involved in the brawl with BYU at the end of the Miami Beach Bowl, according to The Commercial Appeal.

"The penalties — meted out by the U of M in cooperation with American Athletic Conference commissioner Mike Aresco — include suspension from team practices, scrimmages and games. Game suspensions will be from one-half to two games. Also, mandatory anger management counseling and community service hours — along with team-regulated punishments at the discretion of U of M coach Justin Fuente and his staff — will be part of the discipline measures. Additionally, player representatives from Memphis and BYU will participate in a conference call where formal apologies will be issued on behalf of both institutions."

Former Utah starting quarterback Adam Schulz one of four mid-term enrollees added to Houston Cougars football team, according to the school’s athletics site.

"Houston head coach Tom Herman announced Tuesday the addition of four student-athletes to the program’s roster with two four-year transfers in quarterback Adam Schulz (Utah) and receiver Chance Allen,(Oregon), along with junior college transfer tight end Rusty Clark (Pearl River CC) and true freshman receiver Devin Smith."

"…Utah’s starter at the conclusion of the 2013 season, Schulz threw for 1,091 career yards and six touchdowns in eight career games with the Utes while rushing for 78 yards on 25 attempts. A native of Muskego, Wis., Schulz (6-2, 210) led Muskego High School to a 9-1 record in 2010 while setting school records for passing yards (745) and touchdowns (nine)."

Florida Gators tight end Jake McGee has tweeted that he received a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.

University of Arkansas hires Vernon Hargreaves as linebackers coach to replace Randy Shannon, according to CBS Sports.

"Hargreaves spent the last two seasons coaching the linebackers at Houston, but his career in college coaching stretches back three decades and includes a BCS title as Miami’s linebackers coach from 1998-2005.“Bret [Bielema] and I have known each other for a long time and I am honored to join such an outstanding coaching staff,” Hargreaves said. “I’m very passionate about recruiting South Florida, and cannot wait to start bringing more Florida Hogs to Fayetteville. [Defensive coordinator] Robb Smith and the defensive staff have done an excellent job and I look forward to helping the Razorbacks take the next step towards an SEC championship.”"
