Super Bowl XLIX is sure be great, but who are the best the ACC has to offer? Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

With Super Bowl XLIX fast approaching and the best two rosters clashing, it got me thinking. Who are the best players the ACC has graduated that are playing on the world’s biggest stage for the two best teams the world has to offer? Who are the five best ACC grads playing in the Super Bowl? While combing through the rosters of the two teams I found that some choices of who would be on the list and where on the list they would be, were tough choices, while others were not so tough to leave off the list (Danny Aiken sorry you didn’t make the cut).

This list is of the top players from the ACC, not the top 5 players who will impact the game (sorry Steven Hauschka) so keep that in mind when reading the list.

I also struggled with other players who may have finished their careers with non-ACC schools, but spent most of their college careers at an ACC school. So while some may disagree with me about my list and criticize my choices because they didn’t finish with an ACC school, I believe I made the right choice.

Players I also looked at and considered (in order from 6-10): Byron Maxwell, Clemson; Bryan Stork, Florida State; JR Sweezy, North Carolina State; Jonas Gray, Pittsburgh; Steven Hauschka, North Carolina State

So with that being said we will move on to the list starting with number five.
