Number of Rivals 100 Players Still Chasing: 4 (2 5-Stars, 2 4-Stars)

The Auburn Tigers faithful already have lots of trust in Gus Malzahn, and with a Top 15 recruiting class already appearing to come together, there is no reason not to. But this recruiting class could get a heck of a lot better for the Tigers with a good week this week.

Auburn is in a serious fight with Florida for two elite Florida linemen, one on each side of the ball. The first is 5-star defensive end Byron Cowart, who is the top player in the country according to Rivals. The second is 5-star offensive tackle Martez Ivey, who is the No. 4 ranked prospect according to Rivals. It is neck and neck between the Gators and the Tigers for both players.

Adding these guys to Auburn would certainly help with the physicality of the program, as we all already know that Malzahn will always get the elite skill players for his offense. If he adds to that with physical superstars like these guys along with a couple of other 4-star recruits, we’re talking the perfect players for his perfect system.

And it will show Auburn is here to stay and rival Alabama.
