National Signing Day 2015: Where’s Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus signing?
By Jerry Levi
After narrowing it down to two primary schools, the son of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, WR Cordell Broadus will announce on ESPNU at the 2pm ET hour exactly where he is going. If you were to ask his dad where he’d like for his son to go, Snoop would say most definitely USC but most insiders say that the 6’2″ 192 pound wideout is headed to Westwood and UCLA. But can the kid play and shuck the hype about being Snoop’s kid? Listed in the ESPN 300 at 130 and the 14th overall wide receiver recruit, Cordell Broadus’ attributes far outweigh whatever criticism may come his way based on his dad’s celebrity. Don’t forget that Cordell transferred to Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas from Diamond Bar in California just to prepare himself for major college football. His stats this past fall? 39 catches for 602 yards for an over 15 yard average per catch. Add 11 touchdowns to that list and it makes Cordell Broadus an explosive playmaker. Not only did USC and UCLA line up for his services, but so did Arizona State and LSU.

Cordell Broadus started playing football in his dad’s football league that Snoop started back in 2005 for inner city kids to be able to play football. He’s also Cordell’s biggest critic when it comes to his game. Snoop can be seen on the sidelines before and after Gorman High games telling his son what he’s doing wrong. Cordell just takes it in stride.
"“It’s good that he does that. When the media does it, it’s just second nature to me, and I don’t have a bad reaction to it like some athletes do. I just look at that as motivation.”"
So where does Snoop want his son to go to? A diehard USC fan, it would probably mean a lot to the elder Broadus if Cordell put on the Trojan hat come Wednesday afternoon, but either way, Snoop’s going to be there on the sideline at the Rose Bowl or the Coliseum, cheering on the much deserved hype around his kid. Find out at 2pm where this Broadus is dropping. Couldn’t resist…
