Biggest National Signing Day Winner

1. USC Trojans

Rivals Class Rank: No. 1

Dating back to last summer, enthusiasm behind Steve Sarkisian was minimal due to his troubles recruiting at that time. Going into the day before National Signing Day, all that changed with the fact that he had the No. 2 ranked recruiting class in the country and what was already by far the deepest class.

Really the past two days alone, but particularly Signing Day, has turned the deepest class into also the best class. The USC Trojans were the ones to dethrone Alabama, as they picked up four elite 5-stars in a 24-hour span.

And it was every 5-star they were targeting.

Defensive end Rasheem Green, defensive back Iman Marshall, and linebackers John Houston and Porter Gustin turned a deep class into a superstar class that no other program comes close to. USC is back to USC, and that is a fact.

The Trojans closed out the day with 17 4-stars and four 5-stars to easily surpass Alabama, and the best part is the bulk of the recruiting, including all the 5-stars, were defensive studs, where USC needed to shore up anyway. Look out college football. USC dominance could be coming back.
