Al Golden has a top recruiting class again in the ACC, but will it save his job this year?. Mandatory Credit: Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

4. Miami Hurricanes

Al Golden is another coach on the hot seat, but like many of the others in the ACC on this list before him, did a very good job with this recruiting class. The jury is still out on his ability to develop top end talent as at Miami he hasn’t done a great job with that, but he did find a stud quarterback in Brad Kaaya.

Golden did a great job getting weapons for his young quarterback in wide receiver Lawrence Cager and tight end Jerome Washington. Both should play this year and should make things easier on Kaaya, who struggled at times with accuracy. Cager is a big target at 6’5” and 200 lbs with the ability to stretch the field, but also has the toughness to run over the middle of the field. However the middle of the field may be occupied by their tight end Jerome Washington, who is a receiver not a blocker, but should give Kaaya a security blanket who has the ability to break tackles in the open field.

Both of those guys should help Kaaya develop as quarterback, as their can no longer be any complaints about his supporting cast. Golden is betting on his quarterback in this scenario, which is a wise decision.

Also of note is offensive tackle Bar Milo, who should develop into a solid starter who can push for reps possibly next year.

A solid class for Golden who needs to be successful for this run at Miami to continue.
