14. Pittsburgh Panthers

The Panthers Pat Narduzzi did just get the head coaching job and everyone knows that can make it extremely difficult to get players who had committed to the past regime, to stay and play for the new one. The other problem is he doesn’t have any time to recruit any of his guys, as most high school players have already narrowed down their decisions and are unlikely to want to add more choices to the mix.

Because of that, the Panthers reeled in just 14 recruits total, which is smaller than the average recruiting class. However the Panthers did get some great recruits in cornerback Jordan Whitehead and running back Darrin Hall. Whitehead should be an immediate sta,ter and should compete for time as a kick and punt returner as he is dynamic with the ball in his hands.

Hall meanwhile, may get some carries on third down, but for the most part star running back James Conner will get most of the reps, as it should be. Despite that Hall is too good to not get touches so look for some two back sets and for Hall to flash his open field ability as a potential slot receiver or as a lightning combo to Conner’s thunder.
