10. Boston College Eagles

Boston College is another example of a team who grabs unheralded guys, plugs them in, then sees them develop into monsters ( Luke Kuechly, Mark Herzlich, Matt Ryan, Andre Williams, etc.) However the one thing that has been constant from the program has been the no nonsense ground and pound type of team on offense, with a superior offensive line, and the ability to stop the run on defense.

The offensive line of Boston College seems to send a lineman to the NFL at least every year and there are guys aplenty starting in the NFL today (Anthony Castonzo, Gosder Cherilus) and former guys (Dan Koppen, Damien Woody). The Eagles may have found their next NFL long time starter in guard Wyatt Knopfke, who is as mean and tenacious as his name sounds.

Knopfke stands at 6’4” and 288 lbs which allows him to be quick on pulls, but powerful enough to drive people back in the running game.  He may not start right away as most lineman for the Eagles don’t, but with the talent they lost it wouldn’t surprise me .

Others of note are defensive end Zach Allen, who should provide some pass rush, and big tight end Chris Garrison who should contribute in the run and pass game.

Another year, another non recognizable class for the Eagles, but Addazio can really develop guys, and the bet is that trend continues.
