Pac-12 Signing Day Recruiting Grades: Southern California Resurgence

Although the SEC still dominates the country in recruiting, the Pac-12 is significantly narrowing that gap. And this past year’s recruiting showed that more than any time before, although, like the United States economy over the past 40 years, most of the gains were at the top.
Pac-12 Signing Day features a conference that produced the top class in the country and five Top 25 classes, which is pretty darn good. And the dominance was most prevalent in Southern California, which has had a football resurgence.

That’s right, the USC-UCLA rivalry is about to be as fierce as ever, with the Trojans putting together the top class and the Bruins having a Top 15 class to add to their already pretty good roster and coaching staff. Oregon is still Oregon, Stanford and Arizona State are recruiting well, and Cal and Washington are mighty close to turning the corner.
Essentially, the Pac-12 is getting deeper and deeper each year, which could actually spell bad news for the teams in the conference as they continue to beat each other up, particularly in the Pac-12 South.
This year’s recruiting classes for the conference showed that. So here we go. Let’s take a look at how each team’s recruiting class fared following Pac-12 Signing Day for 2015.
And remember, the grades don’t reflect the class rankings. They reflect how they are for that particular program, what that program does to compete, and whom that program is competing against.
