Top 10 ACC Recruits

2. Christian Wilkins, Defensive Tackle, Clemson
Wilkins is in my opinion the most disruptive defensive force recruited in all of the ACC recruiting classes. He is a big guy who already weighs in at 325 lbs with some more weight coming over the next few years. However Wilkins has to be careful not to put on too much weight, which could affect his area of strength, which is his quickness for a big man.
The premier defensive tackle entering the ACC, Wilkins can play either the three or one technique and with his size could play nose tackle. Furthermore Wilkins does a good job pushing the pocket and making it tough for quarterbacks to step up, also giving the defensive ends a chance to capitalize of the quarterback being stuck in the pocket.
When teams run against Wilkins he uses his hands very well to shed blockers and make a play on the backs, but can sometimes play with a high pad level allowing teams to wash him down the line. That being said, that is a very easy fix and when Wilkins plays with proper leverage he can destroy even double teams and make it tough to run inside the tackles.
I think Wilkins could make an all conference team this year, which puts him second on my list.
