Top 10 ACC Recruits
Florida State snags the best play maker on offense in athlete George Campbell, who profiles best as a number one receiver in Tallahassee. Mandatory Credit: Steve Dykes-USA TODAY Sports
1. George Campbell, Wide Receiver, Florida State
The number one recruit in the ACC is athlete George Campbell. I believe his best fit is at wide receiver where he can fully utilize his physical tools and provide whoever Jimbo Fisher goes with at quarterback an elite weapon.
Campbell is a supremely talented player who has good size at 6’3” and elite speed running a 4.4 second 40 yard dash. Campbell’s size and speed combo make him a nightmare for any cornerback to cover, but he also plays the ball extremely well.
In addition to playing the ball well, Campbell should also make the all conference team as a return man due to his skills in the open field. I would also expect Campbell to get some handoffs and screens because there are few players that possess the open field skills he has.
One again Florida State has gotten the best recruit in the ACC, and he figures to make game planning for him a tough proposition for opposing coordinators .
We still need to see what develops at quarterback for the Seminoles, but Campbell should make life easier for whoever Fisher decides is the best choice.
