4. Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

Derwin James is yet another top prospect en route to Tallahassee to play for Jimbo Fisher and the Seminoles. James is a defensive back whose best fit is at safety, and has decent size at 6’1” and 199 lbs. James has pretty good range and has the instincts to go along with it allowing him to play either safety spot for Fisher.

James also has the ability to lay big hits in the middle of the field which as I said before allows him to play either spot on the Seminoles defense.

James has good speed and could most likely fill in at slot corner if necessary, and can also cover tight ends in a pinch.

The Seminoles has a lot of holes after graduations and departures for the NFL, so James should slide right into a starting spot.
