These next two selections you’ll be saying to yourself, ‘But these two haven’t even finished their careers yet.’
In some aspects that is true, but with 5 star Joe Mixon, his battles have been off the field, which could lead to his downfall before he even steps onto Owen Field in Norman. Highly touted as one of the premier backs in the nation, Joe Mixon made his commitment early in 2014 as to which school he would be attending in the US Army All-American Bowl by sporting an OU hat prominently.
All was well when he stepped on campus but then after he punched a woman in a Norman restaurant, things went quickly downhill. Mixon was kicked off the team for 2014 and by all accounts has been a good citizen, but with the emergence of back Samaje Perine and Keith Ford, the majority of the carries could go their way in 2015, making the sledding tough for Mixon as the Oklahoma backfield is fully stacked.
Time will tell but the odds are against him in terms of long term success. Considering the nature of his crime where would Mixon transfer to?
