Which ACC grads are the best of the best? Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
With the 2015 hall of fame class just recently announced, the first thing that came to mind was who are the best football players to be inducted into the hall, and which of them are ACC Football Graduates? After looking through the list, it is clear the ACC has had some of the all-time greats play for the conference, and produce on the world’s biggest stage.
For the purpose of this exercise I have included any school that is currently in the ACC under the most recent changes. Therefore I have included Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Louisville, as well as not including Maryland.

As far as the list, the elite level performers the ACC has seen come and go in the NFL is quite astounding. There are a number of players I left of the list, but I tried to go with the players I felt made the biggest impact on there team, as well as help their teams the most. Some of the players even changed the way people play the position currently in the NFL.
With that being said, although there are some greats, there are some omissions that I wish I could have included, and even wrestled with the list I came up with.
Apologies to (in no particular order): Johnny Unitas (LOU), Warren Sapp (MIA), Sunny Jurgensen (Duke), Mike Ditka (Pitt) , Tony Dorsett (Pitt), Curtis Martin (Pitt), Jim Otto (MIA), Michael Irvin (MIA), Jimy Kelly (MIA), Fred Biletnikoff (FSU), Derrick Brooks (FSU), Walter Jones (FSU), Larry Csonka (SYR), Art Monk (SYR).
With that being said, on to the list.
