Top Five ACC QB Recruits

At this time last year we were all sorting through the heavy doses of scouting reports on our favorite teams, trying to decide if the recruiting class put together was going to help your team improve or if the coach missed on the class and it would be tough sledding in the future. However as much as we want to hype the freshman before they hit the field, and give them the star label, we have to realize this is a process, and the real development happens behind the scenes rather than in front of a camera.

Truth be told, the best recruits may not always be the highly touted five stars. The best recruit in a few years may be the two star recruit who worked his way up and had the drive and determination to not bed denied. Yes there are numerous results where the top recruits hit the ground running or end up becoming the best player very soon (Jameis Winston most recently), but potential is just a fantasy. The truth about potential is sometimes people don’t reach their ceiling, others reach it, and then the very rare third tier, surpass it.

With that being said the ACC brought in a number of intriguing prospects at the quarterback position and they all have the potential to be very good in the near future. These ranking will be based on potential down the road, rather than the ability to be a game changer this upcoming season as some of these players will not see the field this season.
