Adding two of the best five recruits at the quarterback position may seem odd of Jimbo Fisher, but the bet here is Francois is the real prize, whereas Johnson is likely to take more time to develop and may need to move off the position if they don’t give him time.

Francois is truly a prized recruit for the Seminoles with the ability to come in and compete right away for the starting job, and the leadership and determination to win it. Francois has a huge arm and can throw a really nice deep ball, which should be very helpful in utilizing my top ACC recruit, Florida State wide receiver George Campbell. Francois as with most quarterbacks struggles with his footwork, but his elite athleticism and determination should improve that with help from Fisher.

Aside from possessing a big arm Francois also has a knack for creating plays for others with his legs, and isn’t afraid of taking a big hit to make the play. He has a solid build now, but should be careful until he starts to add more muscle to his frame. I also see an issue when it comes to accuracy and touch on some of his passes that could be a result of improper mechanics.

Francois has a little ways to go, but the problems stated could be fixed with some extra reps this spring and he should be on track to compete for and win the starting job if Fisher so chooses to go that route.
