10. 2005 Oklahoma Sooners Recruiting Class

Rivals Rank: No. 3

Bob Stoops has made a habit of underachieving with some talent and overachieving with other talent. This was a classic case of underachieving.

The 2005 class, for a bit of memory refreshing, came into a program that in the previous five years had three Big 12 titles, a national championship, and two other national championship appearances. And honestly, the years following the 2005 class were still pretty good. But that class alone was a failure.

This class was led by two 5-stars, defensive tackle Demarcus Granger and linebacker Ryan Reynolds. Both players were plagued by injuries throughout their entire careers with the Sooners, and neither had an NFL career. The way those two players flopped was enough to put the Sooners on this list, but the failure of players like Lamont Robinson, Jesse White, and Eric Huggins to make anything of themselves did not help either.

Overall, this class was simply a huge failure, and there was no way around that fact, even if the Sooners did have a national championship appearance in 2008.
