It is certainly true that the NFL Combine is not a great measure for future NFL success, at least compared to plugging in the tape and seeing how well they performed in college.

It is also true, though, that there are certain players who need the NFL Combine to prove they can do basic things.

Simply put, you can hurt yourself at the NFL Combine but not always help yourself. As college football players head to Indianapolis over the next week to show all of their physical and mental attributes to NFL Scouts at the most basic level.

And while some of them do not have much to prove, others still have to answer lots of questions about them that take us back to what they did in college. And for many of these players, the position is as important as their college performance.

There are some positions that can obviously be measured by pure physical attributes. Others don’t matter so much. It simply depends on which spots require more of an intangibles approach based on understanding the game and maintaining composure.

Taking all of that into account, here are the Top 10 players who need to have a good NFL Combine to prove they can make it in the NFL as stars.
