7. Eddie Goldman, Defensive Tackle, Florida State Seminoles

In many ways, Eddie Goldman should be the dream defensive tackle. He is massive at 6’4″ 320 pounds, can blow up plays, and most importantly, he is a game-changer. Just ask Clemson, where Goldman changed the game with just a couple of crucial plays.

But he needs to show his versatility with only 4 sacks on the year. If Goldman is to prove he could become an NFL star, then his 40-time and shuttles are going to be important. His speed and footwork have to show they match his size.

If not, Goldman’s stock could fall, and although defensive tackle is not a common position where the combines measure success, it can happen sometimes. This is one of those cases.

Goldman needs to prove he has consistent speed, can accelerate, and can be relied on as a legitimate pass-rusher as opposed to somebody who simply blows up plays.

We already know by plugging in the tape that he can step up and has intangibles, though.
