Welcome to the American Athletic Conference, one of two Group of Five conferences made up of teams always in a desperate fight to reach a Power Five Conference. The face of that fight is obviously the AAC, which is only a step below the ACC.
Knowing that fact and the fact that there are teams on the cusp of being future powerhouses in this country if things go right, AAC Spring Practice always provides us with intriguing stories.

UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, East Carolina, and Memphis are all looking to become programs that consistently win, and South Florida, UCONN, and Tulane are programs trying to reach those levels.
Every program in this conference wants something more than where it is at.
The programs looking to move to the next level have lots to look forward to over the next few years, and there are other programs that are on the rise. But every team in the conference has significant questions that need to be answered this spring as we look forward to next year.
