Biggest Question: Will Jeremy Johnson establish himself as THE quarterback in Spring Practice?

It seems like a completely done deal that Jeremy Johnson is the next in line for great Auburn Tigers quarterbacks coached by Gus Malzahn.

After all, Johnson completed 75 percent of his passes last year in limited action for 436 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. But he is coming into this offense as more of a pocket passer, and Malzahn did not hesitate to add quarterbacks to the roster, so it may not be as if Johnson is the immediate starter.

He is clearly the frontrunner, but he is going to have to prove he is the guy this Spring. Auburn appears as if it is going to have a new style of offense this fall with a more pro-style system that could better suit Johnson or whomever is the quarterback, but before we can go that far with him, he has to prove his worth with the first team.

Spring practice is Johnson’s chance.

By the end of April, Johnson needs to leave no doubt that he is THE guy for the Tigers going into the future. If not, there could be some problems.
