Question: Who replaces Tyler Murphy as the Eagles quarterback?

The storyline to watch for in Eagles practices is who Steve Addazio gives control to at quarterback. The Eagles lose do it all quarterback Tyler Murphy, who had transferred to Boston College from Florida with his last year of eligibility.

The question then becomes who can give the Eagles what Tyler Murphy did. The answer is most likely none of them, as Murphy became an exceptional runner racking up yardage by the chunk, and running the read option to perfection.

The options right now are Troy Flutie (nephew of former Eagle great Doug Flutie), Darius Wade, and the newly recruited Elijah Robinson and Jeff Smith II. The safe bet would be that a competition ensues with none of them having any real experience to speak of, but the most likely choice is Wade. Wade has the size and speed Addazio wants as his quarterback and as long as he can be near average throwing the football he will have a spot for the Eagles.
