Would McCoy and Jackson still be Eagles?

Well, yes and no.

The above words aren’t a typical phrase to describe an uncertain, yet partial answer, they answer the above question. McCoy yes. Jackson no.

Well, obviously Jackson was on his way out. He wore out his welcome and had some off-field concerns that proved too much of a risk. Jackson was a goner with or without Kelly in Philadelphia.

McCoy, however, would still be an Eagle.

Now, granted, anything’s possible. Perhaps the Eagles’ GM also had a say in whether or not McCoy would be an Eagle in 2015. Maybe the Pennsylvania native would have had more say in the team’s decision to trade him to Buffalo.

I believe McCoy would still be an Eagle. He’s one of the best in the game. Sure running backs have a short lifespan in the NFL, but McCoy would be that team, if it weren’t for Kelly.

However, when you think about Philly without Kelly, you have to think about what the quarterback situation would look like?

Nick Foles started rising in NFL stardom in the latter part of Andy Reid’s last season, and when Chip Kelly came over from Oregon, he blossomed as a potential rising star. Mark Sanchez however, well, you know.
