Jameis Winston quits Twitter to focus on NFL Draft
Jameis Winston finally did something he should have done a year ago and is stepping away from Twitter.
In a move that should be interpreted as Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston putting all of his focus toward the 2015 NFL Draft, he has suspended his Twitter account.

According to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, the potential No. 1 pick in the draft is not going to let any outside distractions take his attention away from what is important now and that’s presenting himself as best he can for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, owners of the No. 1 pick.
It is a small gesture but it could be a gesture that alerts the Buccaneers coaching staff, front office and ownership that he is finally showing the maturation necessary to be a franchise quarterback and face of an NFL franchise.
Winston has a number of questions surrounding his off-the-field behavior that need to be vetted by the Buccaneers and the other teams in need of a quarterback picking at the top of April’s draft. He was accused, but never charged with a sexual assault that’s stained his reputation and followed him around for the better part of the last year and a half.
Then there was the crap legs incident where he shoplifted a small amount of seafood from a Tallahassee Publix and was ordered to complete community service and he was suspended for the Clemson game last season after shouting a profanity on campus.
Few questions remain about Winston’s on-field exploits after a successful college career that saw him win a Heisman, national trophy and only lose one game as a starter in two years. He was one of the biggest winners at February’s scouting combine and showed off his high football IQ as well as an arm that made all the requisite NFL throws.
Is Jameis Winston quitting Twitter a big deal, little deal or no deal?
