The SEC was home to the nation’s best receiver last year in Amari Cooper, but with him headed to the NFL who steps up to claim his spot as the best receiver in the SEC?
Last season we had the opportunity to watch a few receivers do amazing things in the SEC. We saw Alabama’s playmaker Amari Cooper take the SEC by storm dominating in nearly every game he played.

The talented wide receiver broke the SEC record for receptions with 124 – 84 more receptions than any other player on the Crimson Tide. The same can be said for Auburn’s Sammie Coates, who showed he had the speed to haul in the deep ball better than anyone else. Coates average reception was a gaudy 21.8 yards per catch.
That brings the question, who will be the next big thing at wide receiver in the SEC?
There are quite a few junior receivers that are there to fill the void left by the Cooper’s and Coates who could contend for All-American status and potentially the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best receiver.
