Who are the best SEC quarterbacks heading into spring practice, and can anyone chase down Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott this year?
Spring practice is here. It’s a time for college football fans to regain sanity from the fall and regroup for August. Fans everywhere are beginning to gain some anxiety as their teams’ spring games approach. College football season is almost upon us, and most fans are hoping for a better season than the past.

Then there are SEC quarterbacks, whose season never ended, and are only working to get better each day.
2014 was an average year for SEC quarterbacks. Many quarterbacks played, but only a few stuck throughout the season due to poor play or injuries.
Thirty six different SEC quarterbacks attempted a pass in 2014, and for the first time since 2011, an SEC quarterback was not represented as a Heisman finalist.
The SEC quarterback class of 2014 showed promise at times. Many are young and talented, then there are some who have more experience and are looking to gain some traction as they approach what they hope to be a great year for both themselves and their team.
What will 2015 look like? Will young quarterbacks step into the spotlight? Will we have a Heisman trophy finalist? Lots of questions for the 2015 season, and there’s plenty more to come as we approach another hardened season in the Southeastern Conference.
There are many young quarterbacks deserving of our top five, but with no SEC experience, it’s tough to rank the incoming freshman and the quarterbacks with very little playing time in our top five.
