ACC running backs are chasing James Conner for the title as the league’s best so who can challenge the bruising Pitt running back for the rushing crown?

In 2014  the ACC had a number of high-profile rushing attacks leading the way. The rushing attacks were primarily led by running backs, but there were some quarterbacks in the top rushing leaders for the ACC as well.

However, some of the top rushers from a year ago are no longer in their respective programs, having moved on due to graduation or deciding to pursue their pro careers.

Nonetheless, there are still a good supply of talented backs with varying styles of running in the conference, led by some players that should garner some consideration for top backs in the country let alone the ACC.

These backs figure to be huge parts in their teams offenses because not many teams in the ACC play in a pro style offense, and most rely on controlling possession time with the running game. Others flat-out do not like to pass and thus rely even more heavily on the ground game.

The top of the list may be relatively predictable for some, but there is no denying who is number one on this list. After reading through the list, please let me know who should have been ranked higher or lower and who was the biggest snub.

With that being said, let’s get to the top 10 running backs in the ACC.
