In a conference as brutal and physical in the SEC, those big offensive linemen are crucial. Here are the top 10 SEC offensive linemen heading into 2015.


In an age of football marked by pass-heavy offenses and speed as the root of success, the art of a dominant offensive line is lost. But at every level, it is a crucial position that teams never win a championship without.

The SEC breeds players with the rare combination of speed and size as if it is a regular thing in states like Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida. Because of that, the demands for offensive linemen in the conference are even greater than the demands elsewhere.

And some teams, like Alabama and Arkansas, are built entirely on a great offensive line when it comes to the success of the offense. After all, when you go up against future NFL superstars on the defensive line every week, you had better be ready for a bloodbath.

The hardest part about doing a Top 10 on offensive linemen, though, is that it is a unit thing. Offensive linemen are judged by what they do collectively as a group, so it can be hard to decide who the best linemen are in a conference.

But there are some guys who stood out last year and are poised for great years this year, and they have made this list of top linemen in the SEC.
