Who are the best Big Ten quarterbacks entering 2015 spring practice? Does Ohio State have a three in the top-three? Here’s our subjective list of the best.

As we continue through our look of the Big Ten as spring practice rolls along for some squads and is just around the corner for others we’ll rank the top ten quarterbacks within the conference.

The 2014 season will always be known as the year of the running back in the Big Ten, with the great backs moving on toward the NFL and several top quarterbacks returning 2015 is setting up to be the year of the quarterback.

There is not a more important position on the field. The quarterback is responsible for not only his position but also to know the responsibilities on the offensive field. There is a reason that it is the highest paid position at the professional level.

A good quarterback can manage the game and put a team into winning position with help from other aspects of the game. A great quarterback can single-handedly win the game for a team, while hiding deficiencies of an offense. The opposite end of the spectrum, a poor quarterback situation can set a program back years or never get one over the hump even if it has other pieces in place.

Spoiler alert Rutgers, Northwestern, Maryland, and Michigan do not make the list. Each school is looking for a new signal caller to step up in the 2015 season. While each program has other pieces in place, the success will ultimately come down to how much production they can get from their new signal caller.

Let’s jump into the top 10 players under center for the 2015 season.
