Cardale Jones may have the strongest arm in the nation, his nickname is not 12 gauge for nothing, he has a cannon connected to his shoulder. As he showed in the national championship game he is resilient to. On the big stage he did make several big mistakes turning the ball over but he was able to put it past him and move on.

He also has the ability to run and gain extra critical yards. By no means is he Braxton Miller when running the football but as he showed time and time again in the national championship game he picked up just enough yards needed to keep the chains moving, running over anyone in his path.

Jones could have been drafted had he entered the NFL draft this spring but he chose to come back. I expect him to compete and come out on top with the starting nod from coach Meyer. The Buckeyes will be in good hands in pursuit of defending their national title with whomever is behind center, I just think Jones brings too much to the table to be left on the bench.

The #1 and #2 spots could easily be interchangeable, different people will have different opinions but I do not think you can be wrong either way. This spot or the #1 spot could be filled by three different players that are on the same team, again different opinions most likely none would be wrong.

First, I am taking a complete guess here but in my opinion Cardale Jones will be the starting quarterback for the defending national champions at the start of the first game. Cardale not only has the most upside, led his team to three impressive victories in his first three starts, but he is also not coming off injury like Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett, who are brilliant in their own right.
