Beathard was able to give a spark to the offense and Iowa does seem to move the ball better and get into a rhythm with him under center. As stated before however, being a quarterback is much more than just running around it is also becoming a student of the game to make that leap.

If Beathard can harness that athleticism and strong-arm he has a shot at 2,500 yards passing and can have the Hawkeyes as a factor for the West division title.

CJ Beathard

Quarterback, Iowa Hawkeyes

With the impending transfer of quarterback Jake Rudock this Iowa Hawkeye team will now be C.J. Beathard’s. Beathard took over starting duties midway through the season and continued to share duties with Rudock.

Now the this is Beathard’s team it will be on his shoulders to bring the Hawkeyes back to prominence. C.J. has the abilities as an athletic passer to do great things on the field, but as with most of the quarterbacks in the lower end of these rankings it all comes down to consistency.
