Who will be under center for the Buckeyes in the regular season opener? That is the burning question this offseason.

Braxton Miller was a top Heisman candidate last preseason, until a right shoulder injury put him out for the season.

His backup J.T. Barrett went on his own Heisman campaign, throwing for 34 touchdowns and 10 INT’s before his season was cut short via a right ankle injury in the regular season finale against Michigan.

Cardale Jones started his first game in the Big Ten Championship, won that, and went on to breeze through the College Football Playoff to win the National Championship.

Urban Meyer is the luckiest guy in college football, but he has a ‘problem’ of sorts. Who does he go with?

Jones is the only one of the trio who is healthy enough to take reps this spring. Cardale has a lot of room to grow as a quarterback, but he already has some tools that are unteachable in terms of size and arm strength. I think he’ll take over this spring with Barrett and Miller limited and build a take a lead in the quarterback race and never give it up.
