E.J. Price commits to Georgia: Bulldogs get 4-star offensive tackle

E.J. Price is the latest commitment for the Georgia Bulldogs after the four-star offensive tackle gave his verbal commitment on Thursday.

The Georgia Bulldogs are putting together what looks like another elite recruiting class for head coach Mark Richt after Thursday’s commitment from four-star offensive tackle E.J. Price (Lawrenceville, GA Archer) who gave his verbal commitment to the team after the team practiced.

Price is the nation’s No. 77 recruit overall, No. 10 offensive tackle and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He picked the in-state program over offers from Auburn, Clemson, Michigan and Florida State, among others.

The 6-6, 311-pound Price was at Georgia’s junior day in February and took an unofficial visit to the Athens campus on March 3. He was invited to The Opening later this summer where the elite lineman will get the chance to compete against some of the best high school talent in the country.

Georgia offensive line coach Rob Sale tweeted the following after the news of Price’s commitment:

Sale has the makings of one of the best offensive line classes with Price joining five-star commit Ben Cleveland who is the nation’s No. 31 overall recruit and the No. 5 tackle. In total, Price is the seventh to commit to Georgia whose class ranks seventh in the nation and fourth overall in the ever-competitive SEC.

The pair of offensive tackles should give plenty of protection for the nation’s No. 1 quarterback and Georgia commit Jacob Eason when they arrive in Athens for next season.
