The SEC is a conference that strives for excellence in college football, but with excellence comes hatred, so who is the most hated team in the SEC?

Unless you live in the Southeast, there’s a pretty good chance that you’re not an SEC fan. Schools from outside the conference typically despise the SEC because of the conference’s overwhelming amount of success in the 21st century. Success equals hatred, look at Florida State and Alabama. You’re either a fan of those two schools, or you hate them. There’s no in between.

It’s easy not to root for the conference that has dominated football in recent years, but more so than any other conference, the SEC has a reputation of brutally arrogant fan bases, even though most of the schools in the SEC haven’t won a National title in decades.

What really aggravates non-SEC fans is our collectivity as a conference. Schools like Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, and others have had much success since the turn of the century, but other schools in the conference, as a result of the success of the conference as a whole, think they’re entitled, due to the overall success of the conference and not the success of their own school.

The SEC is not well liked. It’s well-respected, but it’s not well liked for various reasons. Each school has their own reason of hatred, some more than others. The SEC has many passionate fans, but the conference also has its haters, per say.

Here are the most hated teams in the conference from least to most, in terms of overall hatred from both rivals in the conference and out.
